New Research Shows Porn ‘Wires’ Brain to Immature State

New research shows that consumption of modern-day high-speed tube site pornography wires the brain to a more immature state and lessens willpower.

Porn use has already been correlated with the erosion of the prefrontal cortex, a region of the brain that houses executive functions like morality and impulse control.

The research shows that, somewhat paradoxically, while porn promises satiation, it actually creates a cycle of craving and poor impulse control.

While porn has existed since man form societies, modern-day pornography is far more hardcore, with seemingly endless novelty, meaning it has the power to rewire the neuroplasticity of the brain.

Data from one of the world’s largest adult sites, Pornhub, showed 33.5 billion site visits during 2018.

Commonly reported symptoms of excessive porn consumption include anxiety, depression and even porn-induced erectile dysfunction, which is also known as ‘PIED’.
